Samantha Doucette Named Women's Basketball Coach

Anoka-Ramsey has announced the hiring of Samantha Doucette as Head Women's Basketball Coach.

Samantha was the interim head coach last season, guiding the Golden Rams to a 23-10 overall record.

Anoka-Ramsey finished the 2022-2023 season with a NJCAA Region XIIIB Championship, advancing the NJCAA National Tournament where the Golden Rams took fifth place.

Doucette was named the North Plains District B Coach of the Year in leading Anoka-Ramsey to the Region title.

Under Doucette, sophomore guard Mikayla Kanenwisher was named 2nd Team All-Southern Division, 2nd Team All-MCAC, and MCAC All-Defensive.  Cece Bell was the NJCAA Region XIIIB tournament Most Valuable Player.

"I'm happy to have Sam back to lead the Women's Basketball program," said Director of Athletics Jessica Pelzel.  "Her enthusiasm and drive will help sustain the competitiveness of the Anoka-Ramsey program.  She knows what it takes to compete in the tough MCAC Southern Division and I'm confident she will work hard to keep Anoka-Ramsey at the top."
