Nickens Named MCAC Player of the Week

Anoka-Ramsey sophomore forward Charo Nickens was named the MCAC Southern Division Player of the Week for her performance last week.

Nickens averaged 14.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, and shot 50 percent from the field in two Golden Ram losses to NJCAA Division I teams.

Against Laramie County, Nickens had ten points and seven rebounds.

Nickens followed up that performance by tallying 19 points and 18 rebounds against Arizona Western, making 7 of 11 shots from the field.

Nickens is third on the team in scoring at 11.5 points per game, and leads the Golden Rams with 10.5 rebounds per game and 52.9 percent shooting.

Anoka-Ramsey is 3-3 overall and will host Central Lakes on December 3rd at 5:30pm.
