Anoka-Ramsey Community College freshman forward Lexus Hughes was named the MCAC Southern Division Player of the Week for her performance in two Golden Ram victories last week.

Hughes averaged 17.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and two assists per game making 14 of 20 field goal attempts, 2 of 3 shots from the three-point line, and 5 of 6 free throws.

In a 70-62 win at Rochester, Hughes had a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds while making 6 of 9 shots from the field.

In a 112-60 win over Ridgewater, Hughes scored 21 points to go with six rebounds making 8 of 11 field goals, 2 of 2 three-pointers, and 3 of 3 free throws.

The Golden Rams are 18-6 overall, 8-1 in the MCAC Southern Division.

Anoka-Ramsey has clinched the #1 seed in the Region XIIIA tournament and will host the 4-team playoff on February 27-28.
