Anoka-Ramsey Community College Women's Basketball player Rashonna Thomas was named the MCAC Southern Division Player of the Week for her efforts in the Golden Rams' first two games of the season.

Thomas, a freshman guard from Crystal, averaged 19.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 2 blocks per game in the Golden Rams' weekend split.

Thomas connected on 9 of 25 (36 percent) 3FGs.

In Anoka-Ramsey's loss to Madison College, Thomas had 18 points, six rebounds, and three steals while making 3 of 9 shots from beyond the arc.

In the Golden Rams' win over Milwaukee Tech Thomas recorded 21 points, connecting on six three-point field goals, to go with four rebounds, five assists, two steals, and two blocked shots.

Anoka-Ramsey will face Dakota College-Bottineau at 2pm on Friday in Wahpeton, ND.
