Softball Takes Two from Rochester

The Anoka-Ramsey Softball Team continued their winning ways with a doubleheader sweep over MCAC Southern Division opponent Rochester CTC Wednesday, April 26, with 5-inning wins by the scores of 10-0 & 10-2.

The NJCAA ranked #8 Golden Rams have extended their winning streak to 26 games and are currently 32-9 (12-0 1st Place in the MCAC Southern Division).

"I thought we played tired and weren't as mentally sharp as I am used to, but I do understand after playing three doubleheaders in-a-row," said Head Coach Dave Alto. "We just came off two emotional wins the day before and its tough to not have a little bit of letdown. But I am very proud of how these young women pushed through and still had a pair of convincing wins."

Molly Gross and Lyla Galli were both stellar in the pitching circle picking up their 13th and 11th wins of the season.

Offensive stand-out performances were by Maddie Bottineau in game one going 3-3 with 3 doubles and Galli in game two going 2-3 with a homerun and double producing 5 RBI's.
