Hot Shooting Leads to Win for Golden Rams

The Anoka-Ramsey Men's Basketball team shot a blistering 64.7 percent from the field in recording a 105-76 win over Ridgewater on Wednesday evening.

The 105 points were a season-high for the Golden Rams as they made 44 of 68 shots, including 6 of 13 from three-point range despite playing without three key players.

Anoka-Ramsey trailed 31-30 before embarking on a 18-0 run to take control in the first half, and lead 50-34 at the break.

Ridgewater closed within ten points twice early in the second half, but an 11-0 run pushed the lead back over 20 and the Warriors weren't able to recover.

The Golden Rams held Ridgewater to 39.4 percent shooting and outrebounded the Warriors 50-23.

Anoka-Ramsey had seven players score in double digits led by Devin Wade-Henderson with 24 points on 11 of 16 shooting to go along with a season-high eight assits.

Terrell Fountain and Anthony Baker each had 16 points off the bench with Baker adding ten rebounds.

Roland Washington had 13 points on 6 of 8 from the field, while Carson Critchely and Ontario Chapman each had 11, and Daydor Phillips ten points.  Chapman also pulled in a team-high 11 rebounds.

Anoka-Ramsey improves to 9-7 overall, 2-1 in MCAC and will host Minnesota West on Sunday, January 16 at 3:00pm.
