Golden Rams Fall to DCTC 86-66

The Anoka-Ramsey Men's Basketball team fell behind early and couldn't recover in suffering a 86-66 loss to Dakota County Tech on Wednesday evening.

The Golden Rams never led in the contest and trailed 27-12 midway thru the first half.  From there Anoka-Ramsey played the rest of the half fairly even, entering halftime down 42-26.

Anoka-Ramsey began to chip into the DCTC lead.  Trailing 63-40 the Golden Rams eventually cut the deficit to 13 points, 74-61 with 3:32 to play.  But the Blue Knights answered with quick 6-0 burst to put the game away.

The Golden Rams shot 39 percent overall and made just 13 of 26 from the free throw line while committing 20 turnovers.

DCTC shot 46.6 percent overall and pulled in 14 offensive rebounds.

Ontario Chapman led Anoka-Ramsey with 14 points and eight rebounds.

Devin Wade-Henderson had 13 points and a team-high nine rebounds.

Jacob Say scored 12 points, with Elijah Mead chipping in ten points.

Anoka-Ramsey falls to 1-1 overall and will travel to St. Paul to face the Northwestern JV on Thursday night.
