A Minnesota native, Jason Saulsbury, was named the Head Baseball Coach at Anoka-Ramsey Community College in August, 2016.  Coach Saulsbury assumed the helm after former Head Coach, Tom Yelle, retired at the conclusion of his 29th season leading the program.

Coach Saulsbury now enters his fifth season as the Golden Rams Head Coach.  Although all Colleges and Universities throughout the United States saw athletics cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic, Coach Saulsbury remains optimistic that the 2021 season will see the Golden Rams return to the field.  During the previous three seasons prior to the shutdown, Coach Saulsbury led Anoka-Ramsey to an overall record of 38 - 66.

2020 season – Erased by the COVID-19 pandemic

The 2019 season saw the team finish with an overall record of 17-19, just missing the Region XIII tournament.  The Golden Rams were 17-13, heading into their final six regular season games, where they ended up dropping all six of the final games, thus pushing them out of the Region XIII tournament seeding.  The team posed an overall team batting average of .289 and scored 179 runs, while delivering a team ERA of 5.14.  Honors received by the Golden Rams include one All-Region player, one All-State player, five All-Division players, and four MCAC All-Academic players.

The 2018 season was a difficult one, as the Golden Rams were decimated with injuries.  Additionally, they had to overcome terrible weather during the challenging Minnesota spring.  End of season honors included two All-State players, five All-Division players, and six MCAC All-Academic players, and one NJCAA Academic All-American.

During the 2017 season, Coach Saulsbury’s first season at the helm, saw the team finished with an 18-22 record and a third place finish in the Southern Division of the MCAC Conference.  The team posted an overall team batting average of .290 and scored 220 runs, while delivering a team ERA of 5.33.  The 2016-2017 team showcased one All-Region player, one All-State player, two All-Division players, seven MCAC All-Academic players, and one NJCAA Academic All-American.

Prior to joining Anoka-Ramsey, Coach Saulsbury spent five seasons as the Head Baseball Coach for the American Legion and VFW teams out of Andover, MN.  Additionally, Coach Saulsbury spent four seasons as the Head Varsity Coach of the High Octane Reapers Baseball Club.  During that time, Coach Saulsbury amassed an overall record of 86-67.  Lastly, Coach Saulsbury volunteered for nine years, as one of the members of the Andover Baseball Association Board of Directors, eventually stepping away in 2016.

Coach Saulsbury played high school baseball for Anoka High School, earning letters both his junior and senior year.  His collegiate and amateur career include time with Anoka-Ramsey Community College, Bemidji State University, the St. Francis Saints (amateur), the Nowthen Pioneers (amateur), the Mounds View Mustangs (senior amateur), the Coon Rapids Diamonds (senior amateur), and the Andover Aces (amateur).  Coach Saulsbury earned his degree in Accounting from Anoka-Ramsey Community College.  Additionally, Coach Saulsbury has been certified as a Head Coach from both the Minnesota State High School League and the National Federation of High Schools.  Coach Saulsbury has been married to his wife, Heather, for twenty-two years and is the proud father of four beautiful children.
