Baseball Drops Two to Rochester

  • Anoka-Ramsey Community College stayed in it until the end, but Rochester Community & Technical College pulled away late in a 10-7 victory on Wednesday. The game was tied at five with RCTC batting in the bottom of the sixth when Gabe Sepulveda singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.
  • ARCC collected eight hits and RCTC had 14 in the high-scoring affair.
  • RCTC got things started in the first inning when Carlos Martinez homered on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.
  • ARCC tallied four runs in the fourth inning. The offensive onslaught came from an error on a ball put in play by Noah Thompson and Antonio Barachy and a single by Blake Ramberg.
  • Wyatt Doubler took the loss for ARCC.  The lefty went five and a third innings, allowing six runs on ten hits, striking out six and walking one.
  • Alec Dietl started the game for Rochester Community & Technical College. Dietl surrendered zero runs on two hits over three innings, striking out one
  • Anoka-Ramsey Community College smacked one home run on the day whenThompson went deep in the sixth inning.
  • Ramberg led ARCC with two hits in four at bats.

 

ARCC 3 - RCTC 11

  • ARCC fell behind early and couldn't come back in an 11-3 loss to Rochester Community & Technical College on Wednesday. RCTC scored on a single by Izaak Stevens, a groundout by Klayton Hawkins, and a single by Will Pacheco in the second inning.
  • ARCC struggled to contain the high-powered offense of RCTC, giving up 11 runs.
  • Logan Vogel was the winning pitcher for RCTC. The pitcher lasted five and a third innings, allowing five hits and one run while striking out six and walking one.
  • Dillon Stai took the loss for ARCC. The righthander surrendered seven runs on six hits over four and a third innings, striking out two.
  • Benji Bruce went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Anoka-Ramsey Community College in hits.
