Game 1: DCTC 10 - Anoka-Ramsey 1

Anoka-Ramsey Community College watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 10-1 loss to Dakota County Technical College on Saturday.

The Golden Rams struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing the Blue Knights, giving up ten runs.

Anoka-Ramsey got things started in the first inning when Patrick Perreault singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

The Blue Knights scored three runs in the fourth inning. Kirby Pieri and Mitch Goodwin powered the big inning with RBIs.

Logan Sjoberg took the win for Blue Knights. The righthander allowed three hits and one run over five innings, striking out seven. Allex Ege threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Dillon Stai took the loss for Anoka-Ramsey. Stai lasted four innings, allowing seven hits and six runs while striking out five.

Perreault, Brandon WatkinsTyler Traphagen, and Jake Kouri each collected one hit to lead the Golden Rams.

 

Game 2: DCTC 12 - Anoka-Ramsey 0

Anoka-Ramsey Community College fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 12-0 loss to the Blue Knights on Saturday.

The Golden Rams struggled to contain the high-powered offense of the Blue Knights, giving up 12 runs.

In the second inning, Blue Knights got their offense started when Waisanen's sac fly scored one run for the Blue Knights.

A single by Zach Ziesmer in the second inning was a positive for Anoka-Ramsey.

Ben Goelz was credited with the victory for the Blue Knights. The lefty allowed two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out four and walking zero. Mason Primus and Garrett Boblitt entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Drake Bakkum took the loss for the Golden Rams. The pitcher surrendered six runs on four hits over two innings, striking out two.

The Blue Knights hit four home runs on the day. Mitch Goodwin, Diego Waisanen, and Seth Goplen all went yard in the seventh inning. Waisanen also had a long ball in the seventh inning. Kirby Pieri put one out in the second inning.

Patrick PerreaultDerek Heldman, Ziesmer, Brydon Hegarty, and Benji Bruce each managed one hit to lead Anoka-Ramsey Community College.
