The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Baseball team started off slow, but finished in style defeating Minnesota West 12-2 in their first game of a doubleheader on April 9.
Minnesota West got on the board first with runs in the top of the 2nd and top of the 3rd before two Anoka-Ramsey runs in the bottom of the 3rd tied the score.
The bats came alive in the bottom of the 4th culminating with a grand slam from shortstop Ben Johnson.
Jake Hansen and Dylan Conrad each contributed doubles, while Brandon Watkins and Drew Jones each had a stolen base.
Hansen earned the win on the mound throwing six innings and striking out ten.
Game two told a different story as Anoka-Ramsey committed seven errors en route to the 5-3 loss.
Brandon Watkins has three hits and a walk.
Jared Crawford-Akeredolu went 2 for 4 at the plate.
Kyle Nelson threw all seven innings allowing just one earned run.
