Hommes Named to All-Region, MCAC Teams

Sophomore center fielder Mylo Hommes was named this week to both the MCAC and Region 13 baseball teams.

The second-best vote getter in the MCAC-Central Division balloting last weekend to St. Cloud sophomore catcher Fabio Guttieriez, the unflappable Hommes was one of 18 players from all three divisions selected as all-MCAC.

Though freshmen teammates Justin Reeves and Joe Lewis were also named to the MCAC-Central Division team, only Hommes was named all-MCAC.

He was subsequently honored as an all-Region 13 player for his 2016 performance with Anoka-Ramsey.

Before heading into this weekend's sub-Region 13 best-of-three playoff round with Anoka-Ramsey against M-State (Fergus Falls), Hommes was hitting a team-best .403 with an all-time program record 54 hits and 34 RBI. He also led Anoka-Ramsey with an all-time program-record 16 doubles — all contained within 134 at-bats.
