Anoka-Ramsey to Host Men's and Women's NJCAA Region Tournaments

Anoka-Ramsey Community College will play host to both the Men's NJCAA Region XIII Tournament, and the Women's NJCAA Region XIIIA Tournament February 28-March 1.

The eight-team men's tournament will begin with quarterfinal games on Friday, February 28 at 1:00pm, and continue with semifinals on Saturday, February 29.  The championship game will be Sunday, March 1 at 5:00pm.

The three-team women's tournament begins with one semifinal game on Saturday, February 29, and concludes on Sunday, March 1 with a 2:00pm championship game.

 

On the men's side, Rochester (#5), St. Cloud Tech (#9), Central Lakes (#11) and Riverland (#13) all appear in the NJCAA Top 15 poll.

St. Cloud Tech enters with just two losses on the season, and won the MCAC Southern Division regular season title.

 

For the women, Western Tech is ranked #6 nationally, while Anoka-Ramsey (#9) also appears in the NJCAA Top 10 poll.

Anoka-Ramsey went 9-1 in the MCAC Southern Division to earn the right to host the tournament.  Anoka-Ramsey also receives a bye to the championship game.
