Golden Rams Announce Signing of Abby Lanari

Anoka-Ramsey Head Volleyball Coach Brandon Bader has announced his first signing for the 2020 class.

Abby Lanari, a 5'9" middle blocker from Maranatha Christian Academy, has officially signed her letter of intent to play with the Golden Rams for the 2020 season.

Abby has been playing volleyball for seven years, three of which were spent in the Maranatha varsity program. Coach Keturah Miller, who is in her second season as the Maranatha Head Volleyball Coach, has seen exponential growth in Abby from her junior to senior season.

"Abby's confidence on the court grew in addition to her abilities and aggression.  She really took charge this season as a leader," said coach Miller.

Abby is the second oldest in her family of six.  Her older sister Isabelle is currently abroad in Australia while her younger siblings, Anthony, Autumn, Olivia and Avery are all in the Maranatha Christian Academy pipeline. Her parents are Heather and John.

Abby has been an Honor Roll student every year she has been in high school and plans to study general biology with an intention to study neurology when she transfers on to a four-year university.

In her spare time Abby likes to spend time with her friends and family.

Lanari added, "Volleyball is something I love to do and I'm excited to get to work with my new teammates next season to continue doing what I enjoy!"

Anoka-Ramsey finished the 2019 season 3-20 overall, 2-12 in the MCAC, during coach Bader's first season at the helm.
