Four Golden Rams Earn MCAC Honors

The Anoka-Ramsey Women's Basketball team had four players recognized by the MCAC for their performance during the 2024-25 season.

Sydney Hazuga - All Southern Division, All-MCAC

Mariam Alowonie - All Southern Division, All-MCAC

Bella Kanz - All Southern Division, All-MCAC, All-Defensive

Lynae Walker - All Southern Division, All-Defensive

 

Hazuga averaged 14.2 points per game for the Golden Rams to go along with 2.6 steals - tied for fifth in the MCAC.  Sydney was second in the league in made 3's (63), while shooting 34.1 percent from the 3-point line.

Alonwonie averaged a team-high 14.8 points per game making 51.9 percent of her field goals - fifth highest in the MCAC, while grabbing 7.3 rebounds per game.

Kanz scored 9.7 points per game and hauled in 7.2 rebounds per game.

Walker scored 5.5 points per game to go with 3.9 assists, and 2.6 steals - tied for fifth in the MCAC.

 

Anoka-Ramsey was 16-9 overall and 6-4 in the MCAC Southern Division.  The Golden Rams earned the #3 seed in the Southern Division for the NJCAA Region XIIIA Tournament, with their semifinal game taking place on Saturday vs Central Lakes.
