The Anoka-Ramsey Women's Basketball team, battling illness throughout the team and without two players, defeated M|State Fergus Falls 67-38 on Wednesday evening.

The Golden Rams forced 21 turnovers and held the Spartans to 27.3 percent shooting including 3 of 20 from the three-point line.

Anoka-Ramsey jumped out to a 17-0 lead and never looked back, holding the Spartans to single digit point totals in the first three quarters.

The Golden Rams pulled in 50 total rebounds, 27 on the offensive end.

Sydney Hazuga scored 23 points making 4 of 9 from three while adding five steals.

Mariam Alowonie scored 22 points while adding 17 rebounds, 12 on the offensive end, and making all four of her free throw attempts.

O'Ciana Johnson tallied 13 points to go with 11 rebounds.

Anoka-Ramsey improves to 12-6 overall, 2-1 in the MCAC Southern Division.  The Golden Rams do not play again until January 25 when they travel to St. Cloud Tech.
