The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Women's Basketball team survived a late Minnesota West rally to beat the Lady Jays 77-76 in the Region XIIIA Semifinals, before finishing their season with a 68-62 loss to Western Tech in the championship.

In their semifinal win the Golden Rams benefited from a late missed layup by Minnesota West to prevail.

Anoka-Ramsey won thanks largely to their three-point shooting.  The Golden Rams made 12 of 26 from beyond the arc to off-set Minnesota West shooting 54.7 percent for the game and holding a 37-25 edge in rebounds over the Golden Rams.

Mikayla Homola scored 24 points making 10 of 21 shots.

Charo Nickens had a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds.

Adaya Sandifer chipped in 12 points to go with six assists.

In the championship the Golden Rams faced Western Tech, who proved to be their conference nemesis this season.  Western Tech won the two regular season matchups and once again came out victorious over the Golden Rams.

Anoka-Ramsey trailed by one at halftime but took a four point lead into the fourth quarter before the formidable Western Tech defense held the Golden Rams to 11 points in the final period to earn the win.

Homola once again scored 24 points.

Nickens scored 13 points and hauled in 14 rebounds.

Sandifer finished with 11 points and six assists.

The Golden Rams shot 38.3 percent overall and made just 3 of 22 three-point attempts.

Anoka-Ramsey finishes the season 22-6 overall.
