Four Golden Rams Earn MCAC Season Awards

The Anoka-Ramsey softball team had four players earn MCAC recognition for their performances during the 2022 regular season.

Sunny Strait, Emma Bright, and Lyla Galli were each named to the MCAC All-South Division 1st Team as well as All-MCAC.  Molly Gross was named to the MCAC All-South 2nd Team.

Strait led the conferece in RBI with 84 (2nd in NJCAA) and was fourth in the league with 12 home runs (5th in NJCAA) while batting .467 on the season.  Strait was also dominant in the pitching circle with a 3.00 ERA while striking out 40 batters in 56 innings.

Bright was second in the league in batting average at .635 (4th in NJCAA), and was a terror on the base paths with an NJCAA-leading 51 stolen bases despite playing in 11 less games than the person in second.

Galli finished the season second in the league in home runs with 15 (3rd in NJCAA), 9th in batting average at .500, 5th in RBI with 51, and as a pitcher was third in ERA at 2.60.

Gross recorded 11 wins in the pitching circle, and 120 strikeouts (3rd in MCAC) in 85 innings.
