Golden Rams Rally for Thrilling Win over DCTC

The Anoka-Ramsey Men's Soccer team fell behind 2-0 early in the second half, but rallied for a 3-2 victory over NJCAA DII Dakota County Tech on Sunday afternoon.

After a scoreless first half, DCTC got on the board twice early in the second and it looked as though the Golden Rams would fall.

Ty Modaff got Anoka-Ramsey on the board with a PK in the 68th minute after a handball by DCTC in the box.

Evan Galledou followed up with the equalizer in the 85th minute and it looked as though the teams would play to a draw.

But with just ten seconds remaining on the clock DCTC was called for a foul, leading to a free kick just outside the box for the Golden Rams.

Maid Medic stepped up and fired a low shot past the wall and through the defense into the back of the net for the game winner.

The victory was the first for new head coach Marcus Anthony.

The Golden Rams will next host Alexandria on Saturday, September 7 at 3:00pm.
