Men's Soccer Picks Up First Win, 7-2 over MN West

The Anoka-Ramsey Men's Soccer team improved to 1-1 on the season with a 7-2 victory over Minnesota West on Sunday afternoon.

Leading goal scorer Nasteh Ahmed opened the game with an early goal and the Golden Rams never looked back.

Three players (Ahemd, Eloy Demarquet, and Mohamed Mursal) scored two goals apiece on the day to give the Golden Rams their first win.

Coach Qassim Ilmi recorded his first win as Golden Ram head coach.  "The win today gave a lot of players decent playing time, as well as an opportunity for the attackers to get some goals to their name," said Ilmi.  "It was a special day to get my first win as a head college coach and I look forward to many moments like these here at Anoka-Ramsey."
