Anoka-Ramsey's Clay Target team has begun its inaugural MCAC conference competition season and on Wednesday competed in their 3rd "virtual" competition at Beaverbrook Tri-County Sportsman's Club.

Leading the team during Week 3 competition was Leah LaFlamme with two perfect rounds of 25 totaling a program-first perfect score of 50.

Isaac Steffen scored a 47 followed closely by Allie Fossum with 46.

In Week 1 Steffen scored a perfect 25 in one round.

After two weeks of shooting, Steffen was tied for fifth in the conference men's scoring.

On the women's side, Samantha Schulz is in 4th place followed by LaFlamme, Cadence Werth, and Fossum.

Anoka-Ramsey will compete again next Wednesday.  The Golden Rams are in fifth overall in the Blue division of the conference.

Each week the team competes at Beaverbrook starting at 2pm  A competition consists of two rounds of 25 targets.  Anoka-Ramsey competes in the MCAC/USA Clay Target league Blue division.  The divisions are split by number of participants and True Team Scoring is used.  Points are awarded based on ranking, with the first place team receiving the most points.  The remaining points are assigned in descending order, with the last qualifying score receiving one point.

The total number of True Team points available in a conference is calculated by multiplying the number of conference teams by the number of athlete scores used each week.  The goal of True Team scoring is to recognize the best overall team, rather than the team with the most top finishers.

The season is five weeks long and culminates with the MCAC Trap Shooting Championship held Tuesday, October 15 at Alexandria Shooting Park in Alexandria, MN.
