ARCC Drops Both Games to ST. Cloud Tech

Game 1

St. Cloud Tech 5 - Anoka-Ramsey 2

The Golden Rams fall short to St. Cloud Tech CC

  • St. Cloud Technical & Community College scored three runs in the sixth inning to take the lead for good. Their big bats in that inning were led by Jole Torres Rivera and Drew Beier, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs.
  • Grady Fuchs earned the win for St. Cloud Technical & Community College. The bulldog surrendered two runs on five hits over five and a third innings, striking out seven and walking zero. Carson Geislinger threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen. Geislinger recorded the last five outs to earn the save for St. Cloud Technical & Community College.
  • Brayden Buttweiler took the loss for Anoka-Ramsey Community College. The lefty surrendered five runs on six hits over five and two-thirds innings, striking out five.
  • Blake RambergZach ZiesmerNoah ThompsonWyatt Doubler, and Landon Seibel each collected one hit to lead the Golden Rams.

Game 2

St. Cloud Tech 11 - Anoka-Ramsey 2

Anoka-Ramsey blow late lead, ultimately losing in extra innings to St. Cloud Tech CC

  • Sunday's game against St. Cloud Technical & Community College was a heartbreaker for Anoka-Ramsey Community College, as they lost the lead late in the defeat.
  • The Golden Rams fired up the offense in the first inning when Bryce Norby singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.
  • In the top of the seventh inning, St. Cloud Technical & Community College tied things up at two when Drew Beier grounded out, scoring one run.
  • Anoka-Ramsey Community College struggled in the top of the 8th inning to contain the high-powered offense of St. Cloud Technical & Community College, giving up 9 runs in that inning.
  • Sam Boysen was credited with the victory for St. Cloud Technical & Community College. The pitcher surrendered zero runs on zero hits over one inning, striking out one and walking zero. Preston Schlegel threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
  • Dillon Stai took the loss for the Golden Rams. The righthander allowed one hit and one run, walking zero.
  • Norby started the game for Anoka-Ramsey Community College. He went seven innings, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out three.  Drew Beier started the game for St. Cloud Technical & Community College. The ace went six innings, allowing two runs on three hits and striking out eight
  • St. Cloud Technical & Community College socked two home runs on the day. Jackson Peter went for the long ball in the eighth inning. Schlegel went deep in the eighth inning, as well.
  • Norby went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Anoka-Ramsey Community College in hits.
