Bismarck Runs Away With Early Lead in Victory

Anoka-Ramsey Community College watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in an 11-1 loss to Bismarck State College on Saturday. Bismarck State College took the lead on a home run in the first inning.

The Golden Rams once again struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Bismarck State College, giving up 11 runs.

Bismarck State College got things moving in the first inning, when Mike Hallquist hit a solo homer.  Bismarck State College scored four runs in the fifth inning with contributions from Jace Dew and Hallquist, who all drove in runs.

Mitch Sand pitched Bismarck State College to victory. The pitcher lasted four innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out three and walking zero. Andrew Linn threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Benji Bruce took the loss for Anoka-Ramsey Community College. The pitcher allowed eight hits and seven runs over four innings, striking out two.

Nolan ChandlerJake Kouri, and Wyatt Doubler each managed one hit to lead The Golden Rams.

Early Lead for Rainy River Seals Fate For The Golden Rams

Anoka-Ramsey Community College watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in an 11-8 loss to Rainy River Community College on Saturday. Rainy River scored on a single by Jean Carlos Rivera in the first inning, a double by Bryan Velasco in the first inning, a double by John Michael Gonzales Jr. in the second inning, and a single by Mateo Sierras in the second inning.

Anoka-Ramsey Community College collected 11 hits and Rainy River Community College had 13 in the high-scoring affair.

Rainy River pulled away for good with three runs in the second inning. In the second Gonzales Jr. doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs and Sierras singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Rainy River Community College scored three runs in the fourth inning. Their big inning was driven by a single by Velasco and an error on a ball put in play by Rivera.

Juan Alcoverde was the winning pitcher for Rainy River Community College. The pitcher lasted six innings, allowing nine hits and seven runs while striking out nine. Christian Dicochea threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Wyatt Doubler took the loss for Anoka-Ramsey Community College. The lefty allowed seven hits and six runs over two innings, striking out one.

The Golden Rams racked up 11 hits in the game. Landon SeibelAntonio BarachyDrew Jones, and Derek Heldman each had multiple hits for Anoka-Ramsey Community College.
