Women's Soccer Season Ends with Loss to Rochester

The Anoka-Ramsey Women's Soccer team fell 4-0 to Rochester on Saturday afternoon - finishing the season as the NJCAA Region XIII Runner-up.

The Golden Rams once again had to play short-handed due to injuries, and while they managed to win their semifinal matchup they could not overcome the deficit in the championship game.

Goalkeeper Aryanna Jiron had a standout game in the net with 28 saves facing 32 shots.

"Starting the game with ten players, the team did their best today and our game plan worked as well as we could ask," said head coach Tim Notz.  "Under normal circumstances, this game would be a win in our books because we're confident in our abilities on the field.  We'll move forward into the offseason with a solid group of returning players that are bought into what we want to accomplish for next season.  The rebuild for next fall starts now, and I'm looking forward to bringing on board a great group of freshmen for 2022!"

Anoka-Ramsey finishes the season 2-6-1 overall.
