Golden Rams Record Shutout vs. Lake Superior

Golden Rams Record Shutout vs. Lake Superior

The Anoka-Ramsey Women's Soccer team, playing with just 11 players due to injury, recorded a 4-0 shutout against Lake Superior College on Sunday afternoon.

Sierra Dehmer had a standout game offensively for the Golden Rams, scoring all four of the team's goals.

Sunasia Pargo and Hannah Pekarek each had an assist.

Aryanna Jiron had ten saves in goal.

Dehmer leads Anoka-Ramsey with 12 goals scored this season in seven games.

"I was very proud of the girls' effort today," said head coach Tim Notz.  "They played smart soccer and showed great team unity on the field.  We were short-handed on the field for a majority of the game, but we managed to prevent the other team from scoring.  Even at the end of the game, we wanted to put one more in the back of the net.  We'll build on this performance and look forward to the playoffs!"

Anoka-Ramsey finishes the regular season 2-5 overall and will host Lake Superior in a playoff game on Wednesday, October 20 at 3:00pm.
