Women's Soccer Drops Match to Rochester 3-0

The Anoka-Ramsey Women's Soccer team had a rematch with Rochester on Wednesday, September 29 but fell by a score of 3-0.

The Golden Rams, battling numerous injuries to players, hung with the Yellowjackets throughout the first half before Rochester scored in the 35th minute for a 1-0 lead.

Rochester struck again in the 63rd minute, and put the finishes touches on in the 72nd minute.

Goalkeeper Aryanna Jiron faced 18 shots on goal and saved 15.

"It was a tough loss for the team," said head coach Tim Notz.  "We know we could have done better even considering the injuries that we are currently working through.  The good news is that we are still creating attacking chances and our defense is working hard.  We have some time to rest up and make it better for next week."

Anoka-Ramsey falls to 1-5 on the season and is off until Lake Superior on October 10.
