Women's Soccer Finishes Strong in Loss to Allen

The Anoka-Ramsey Women's Soccer team was back in action after two years off - missing the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and falling in their first game under new head coach Tim Notz.

The Golden Rams started slow but finished the game strong in losing 12-2 to NJCAA Division II Allen Community College.

Anoka-Ramsey outscored the Red Devils 2-1 in the final 26 minutes of the match with goals from Evelyn Lopez Garcia (64th minute) and Sierra Dehmer (83rd minute).

Dehmer also had an assist on the Lopez Garcia goal, with Madison Lindemoen assisting on Dehmer's goal.

Aryanna Jiron had ten saves in goal.

Anoka-Ramsey will travel to North Iowa Area Community College on Saturday, August 28th.
