Women's Soccer Beats Rochester 1-0 for Region Championship

The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Women's Soccer team scored early, then held on for a 1-0 win over Rochester to claim the 2019 NJCAA Region XIII Championship on Sunday afternoon.

Lauren Ives scored in the 2nd minute to get Anoka-Ramsey on the board - and the teams played evenly from there on out.

Anoka-Ramsey had plenty of scoring chances with eight shots on goal.

Rochester managed just four shots on goal.

Lauren Ives was named the 2019 NJCAA Region XIII Most Valuable Player.

The Golden Rams will host the NJCAA District tournament on dates yet to be determined.
