The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Women's Soccer team won their sixth straight match on Tuesday afternoon with a 4-2 victory over the visiting College of St. Scholastica JV team.
Anoka-Ramsey struck right out of the gate with a goal from Genna Swanson less than 30 seconds into the game for a 1-0 lead.
Kati Beckman followed up in the 25th minute with a goal off an assist from Avianna McGregor as Anoka-Ramsey led 2-0 at the break.
St. Scholastica pulled within one just a few minutes into the second half with a goal in the 49th minute.
Lauren Baurr provided some breathing room for the Golden Rams volleying a shot high over the goalkeeper into the top corner of the net for a 3-1 lead in the 51st minute.
Baurr added a second goal ten minutes later off a Liberty Morrice-Bartlett assist before a late St. Scholastica goal finished the match with the 4-2 margin.
The Golden Rams controlled the game from the outset allowing just five shots on goal.
Anoka-Ramsey is now 8-2 overall and were ranked #8 in the nation in the latest NJCAA poll which came out the afternoon of September 25th just prior to their match.
