Women's Soccer Earns Two Weekend Wins

The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Women's Soccer team picked up two wins over the weekend, defeated NJCAA Division I Hawkeye Community College 2-1 on Saturday, then defeating Madison College 4-0 on Sunday.  Both matches were on the road.

In the win over Hawkeye the Golden Rams placed nine shots on goal compared to just five for the RedTails with Katie Beckman scoring in the 68th minutes to pull the game even, followed by the winner from Grace Hanson in the 71st minute.

Beckman had a team-high three shots on goal.

In the Golden Rams' win over Madison goalkeeper Rylee Shoquist-Nolan was the key saving all nine Wolfpack shots on goal.

Anoka-Ramsey placed eight shots on net with Lauren Ives driving in two (36th, 74th minutes) along with single goals from Lauren Baurr (40th), and Hayley Raze (66th).

Anoka-Ramsey has now won five straight games and have a 7-2 overall record.

The Golden Rams host the College of St. Scholastica JV on Tuesday, September 25 at 2:00pm.
