Iowa Central Downs Golden Rams

The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Women's Soccer team fought back from a 3-0 deficit to pull within 3-2 before a flurry of late goals gave Iowa Central a 6-2 win on Saturday afternoon.

Iowa Central took what seemed to be a commanding 3-0 lead but Lauren Ives broke free for two goals in the 70th and 73rd minutes to pull the Golden Rams within one.  Michelle Orellana and Liberty Morrice-Bartlett each had an assist.

Iowa Central responded quickly with a goal to push the lead back to two goals, then struck twice more before time expired handing the Golden Rams their second straight loss to NJCAA Division I opponents.

The Golden Rams record evens out to 2-2 on the season.

Anoka-Ramsey is off until September 12 when they travel to Rochester for a 4:00pm kickoff.
