The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Women's Soccer team fell 5-2 to Iowa Lakes on Wednesday afternoon, suffering their first defeat of the season.
The first half was all Iowa Lakes as the Lakers poured in five goals to take a 5-0 lead into halftime.
The Golden Rams showed more life in the second half but couldn't break through the defense until the 75th minute to pull within 5-1.
Kati Beckman quickly scored again in the 80th minute and Anoka-Ramsey had numerous chances to cut into the lead further but couldn't find the back of the net.
Anoka-Ramsey falls to 2-1 on the season and hosts Iowa Central in another non-conference matchup Saturday, September 1st at 2:00pm.
