The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Women's Soccer team defeated Lake Superior College 5-0 on Monday afternoon in Coon Rapids.

The Golden Rams outshot the Icehawks 40-3 including 23 shots on goal for Anoka-Ramsey.

Brittney Streit got Anoka-Ramsey on the board early with an assist from Avianna McGregor in the 4th minute of the game.

Kati Beckman followed that up with a goal two minutes later off an assist from Streit and the Golden Rams would still lead 2-0 at halftime.

Back-to-back goals by Allison Bastyr and Beckman in the 73rd and 74th minutes pushed the lead to 4-0 before Beckman would complete the hat trick with her third goal in the 88th minute.

The defense was stellar as Lake Superior only had three shots on goal.

Anoka-Ramsey improves to 1-1 on the season.
