Anoka-Ramsey Community College Women's Basketball had four players recognized by the MCAC and Region XIIIA for their performances during the 2018-2019 season.
Mikayla Homola, Charo Nickens, Adaya Sandifer, and Raiyne Adams all earned various post-season awards in leading Anoka-Ramsey to a 22-6 record and a runner-up finish in Region XIIIA.
Mikayla Homola - First Team All-Southern Division, First Team All-MCAC, All-Region
Homola led the Golden Rams, and the MCAC, in the scoring with 27.1 points per game - good for 3rd in the nation at the NJCAA Division III level. The sophomore from Osseo High School had 11 games of 30 points or more including a high of 40 points. Homola recorded double digits in scoring all 28 games of the season and reached 20 or more points in 18 of the final 19 games of the season. Homola also led the Golden Rams with 4.1 steals per game and made 96 three-point attempts.
Charo (CJ) Nickens - First Team All-Southern Division, First Team All-MCAC, All-Region, All-Defensive
Nickens was second on the team in scoring with 14 points per game, but increased that to 17.4 points in MCAC contests. CJ, a freshman from Park Center, led Anoka-Ramsey with 9.3 rebounds per game, 11.5 in conference games, while shooting 66.3 percent overall. Nickens recorded 13 double-doubles on the season with seven of them coming in the final seven games.
Adaya Sandifer - Honorable Mention All-Southern Division
Sandifer handled a majority of the ball-handling duties for the Golden Rams and dished out 6.8 assists per game to just 2.2 turnovers (3.0 assist/TO ratio). The freshman from St. Agnes also chipped in with 8.9 points per game, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.9 steals.
Raiyne Adams - All-Defensive
Adams, a freshman from Como Park, was the linchpin of the Golden Rams defense despite battling injuries throughout the season. Playing in just 14 games, Adams still averaged 3.7 steals, 4.6 rebounds, and 8.7 points. In four MCAC games those numbers increased to 12.5 points, 6.5 steals, and 6.8 rebounds.
