Fast Start Leads to Rout of Ridgewater

The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Women's Basketball team started fast and never looked back in routing Ridgewater 94-45 on Thursday night in Coon Rapids.

Mikayla Homola scored the first 15 points of the game on her way to a game-high 33 points as the Golden Rams led 31-10 after the first quarter.

Homola, Charo Nickens, and Maddy Craig scored consecutive layups to open the second quarter as the lead extended to 52-15 at halftime.

Anoka-Ramsey led by as many as 60 points in winning second straight to stay a game behind Western Tech in the Southern Division standings.

Nickens finished with 21 points.

All ten Golden Rams that saw action scored in the game as the team shot 51.3 percent overall and made 10 of 24 threes.

Anoka-Ramsey improves to 17-4 overall, 5-1 in the MCAC and is off until Wednesday, February 6th when they host Minnesota West.
