The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Women's Basketball team fell 88-52 to Northland Community and Technical College on Saturday afternoon.
The Pioneers were highly efficient on the offensive end shooting 70.2 percent (33 for 47) overall in the game and knocking down 8 of 14 three-point attempts.
The Golden Rams suffered from a slow starts at the beginning of each half, falling behind 29-13 after the first quarter, and getting outscored 24-6 in the third period.
In the second a fourth periods Anoka-Ramsey faired much better outscoring Northland 18-15 in the second, and staying within 20-15 in the fourth.
Anoka-Ramsey led 5-2 early in the game before a 20-4 run by Northland.
The Golden Rams battled back and pulled within 41-29 late in the first half, but that's as close as they would get.
Carley Anderson scored 17 points making 4 of 9 three-point attempts.
Megan Mckernon scored 11 points.
Anoka-Ramsey falls to 1-5 overall on the season and will travel to face Rainy River and Hibbing next weekend.
