Rashonna Thomas Named Second Team All-American

Anoka-Ramsey Community College sophomore Women's Basketball player Rashonna Thomas was named to the NJCAA Division III All-America Second Team for her performance in leading the Golden Rams to a 20-10 record this season.

The 5'2" guard averaged 21.5 points, four rebounds, 3.1 steals, and 1.7 assists while shooting 34.7 percent from the three-point line.

Thomas connected on 109 three-point attempts this season, third most in the nation.  The 109 3's average out to 3.6 per game, which was good for second in the nation.

Thomas scored 20 or more points 19 times this season, and 30 or more six times including a career-high of 34 points which she tallied on three different occasions.

The Columbia Heights High School graduate also made eight three-point field goals in a game three different times.

The Golden Rams won the Region XIIIA championship and finished fourth in the NJCAA Division III National Tournament.
