The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Women's Basketball team fell 81-71 to Minnesota West on Saturday afternoon in Worthington, MN.
The loss was the first for the Golden Rams in MCAC Southern Division play and snaps a nine game winning streak.
The teams battled back and forth throughout the first three quarters with neither team being able to take a commanding lead.
A slow start to the fourth quarter doomed Anoka-Ramsey as they could not close the gap late in the game and the Lady Jays closed out the game at the free throw line.
Anoka-Ramsey shot 36.4 percent overall but were just 6 of 32 from the three-point line and were out-shot at the free throw line 18-9.
Alyssa Correll scored 22 points.
Amanday Lindsay finished with 16 points.
Rashonna Thomas scored 12 points.
Dariel Lipscomb had a big game on the glass, pulling in 23 rebounds, 12 on the offensive end.
The Golden Rams are 16-7 overall and will host Rochester on Wednesday, February 22 at 5:45pm.
