Lindsey Swanson Signs with Mayville State

Anoka-Ramsey Community College Softball player Lindsey Swanson signed a Letter of Intent to continue her athletic and academic careers at Mayville State University.

Mayville State is a NAIA program located in Mayville, ND.

Swanson had a standout sophomore season for the Golden Rams as one of the top players in the MCAC earning MCAC 1st Team All-Southern Division and All-State Honors.

Lindsey was a force both in the pitching circle and at the plate.  As a pitcher she led the MCAC in wins (15), was second in strikeouts (127), and third in ERA (2.87).

At the plate, she finished second in the MCAC in home runs (12), and third in RBI (66) while batting .467 with a .507 OBP and .839 slugging percentage.

Swanson tied for the team lead with 64 hits, and led the Golden Rams in doubles with 15.

Swanson also earned the unique distinction of being named the NJCAA Player and Pitcher of the Week simultaneously.  The award typically goes to two different players during each week of the season, while Swanson earned both honors during the same week.

The Golden Rams finished 25-14 overall and were regularly ranked in the top 10 nationally throughout the season.
