Swanson, Stang, Nystrom Earn All-State

Anoka-Ramsey Community College Softball players Lindsey Swanson, Breanna Stang, and Cleopatra Nystrom were named to the MCAC All-State team for their performance during the 2018 Golden Rams season.

All three players had previously been named to the MCAC All-Southern Division team.

Swanson recorded a dominant season in the pitching circle for the Golden Rams winning an MCAC-best 15 games with a 2.81 ERA and 127 strikeouts.  Swanson was also a force at the plate with 66 RBI, 12 home runs, and a .467 average.

Stang hit .458 on the season scoring 46 runs and hitting 14 doubles, the fifth most in the MCAC.

Nystrom hit .438 with 49 runs and an MCAC-best four triples while finishing second in the league in stolen bases with 32.

Anoka-Ramsey finished the season 25-14 overall and rose as high as #4 in the NJCAA National Poll.
