Golden Rams Split with St. Thomas JV

Golden Rams Split with St. Thomas JV

The #5 ranked Anoka-Ramsey Softball team traveled to St. Thomas in St. Paul for their first outdoor games in Minnesota this season and came away with a split in two games.

The Golden Rams fell 9-3 in game one before taking game two 9-6.  This is the first time that the Golden Rams have ever won a game in this series.

"Overall, it was a tough day for us. We were not very good defensively, especially in game one. We made way too many mistakes", said Head Coach Dave Alto. "I felt we pitched well in both games and swung the bats okay. I am proud of how we responded in game two though. To finally be able to beat a team of this caliber is a step in the right direction".

Anoka-Ramsey saw their 11 game winning streak come to an end, but they improved their record to 18-9 overall and still 6-0 in the MCAC Southern Division.

The Golden Rams are in action at home this Wednesday, April 25, against Itasca at 3pm and 5pm.
