Swanson Earns NJCAA Honors

Anoka-Ramsey Community College Softball player Lindsey Swanson earned a rare double award from the NJCAA for her performance on the field last week.

Swanson was named the NJCAA DIII Player and Pitcher of the Week; awards that generally are handed out to two separate players, but this time were both earned by Swanson.

Lindsey had 15 RBI and a .687 average in four Golden Ram wins.  In the pitching circle Swanson threw two games striking out 15 batters while allowing just three runs.

Swanson leads the MCAC with 40 RBI, eight wins in the circle, and 76 strikeouts.

The MCAC honored Swanson as the conference Player of the Week as well, the second consecutive week she has earned the award.
