Swanson Repeats as MCAC Player of the Week

Anoka-Ramsey Community College Softball player Lindsey Swanson was named the MCAC Southern Division Player of the Week for her performance this past weekend.

This is the second consecutive week Swanson has earned the award.

Swanson drove in 11 runs with the help of three home runs over the course of two games; wins over Riverland and Rochester.

Swanson also picked up two wins in the pitching circle throwing ten innings and allowing just seven hits and three runs while striking out 15 batters.  Swanson had a 2.1 ERA for the weekend.

Through April 8th Swanson has six home runs and is batting .432 with a .753 slugging percentage.  She currently leads the MCAC in RBI (40), wins (8), and strikeouts (76).

The Golden Rams are 15-8 and were ranked #7 in last week's NJCAA National poll.
