The Anoka-Ramsey Men's Soccer team used a strong defensive effort, and an aggressive offensive approach to defeat Dakota County Tech 3-0 on Wednesday afternoon.
Sophomore Gabriel Monaighan scored two goals to lead the Golden Rams, while Nils Gulbranson added the third.
Anoka-Ramsey had 11 shots on goal, continually wearing down the DCTC defense.
Goalkeeper Devan Thompson had three saves as the Golden Ram defense held strong throughout the match.
Anoka-Ramsey improves to 1-0-1 on the season and travels to Indian Hills Community College for a Friday afternoon match before returning home on Saturday, August 31 to host Hawkeye Community College.
