Golden Rams Earn Victory over Lake Superior

The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Men's Soccer team squared off against MCAC foe Lake Superior College and came away with a 3-1 victory.  The game was suspended in the 80th minute due to lightning, then called as storms continued to roll through Coon Rapids.

Lorence Kurth got the Golden Rams on the board early with a goal in the 4th minute, then followed it up with his second goal in the 17th minute for a 2-0 lead.

Lake Superior responded early in the second half with a goal to make it 2-1, but Hussein Altameemi put the finishing touches on the outcome with a goal in the 73rd minute.

Dylan White and Jafaar Abdulrahman each assisted on goals while Tobi Akinroluyo had seven saves in goal.

Anoka-Ramsey improves to 2-1 overall and will host Iowa Lakes in a non-conference match Wednesday, August 29 at 2:00pm.
