The Anoka-Ramsey Men's Basketball team dropped their second straight MCAC Southern Division game, falling 96-86 at Ridgewater on Wednesday night in Willmar.
The Golden Rams shot 45.7 percent overall, and made 13 of 30 three-point attempts, however the Warriors countered with 54.7 percent shooting and made 16 free throws to just five for Anoka-Ramsey.
Ridgewater jumped ahead early 12-2, and 18-7 before Anoka-Ramsey put on a run to pull within 22-20 with ten minutes to play in the first quarter.
Following a Ridgewater three, Nashiem Lozier hit from downtown, followed by two D.J. Pettigrew free throws and another Lozier three to give Anoka-Ramsey a 28-25 lead.
Both teams played relatively evenly for the rest of the half before Ridgewater pulled ahead 45-43 at halftime.
Ridgewater went up by 11 early in the second half before Anoka-Ramsey rallied again, taking a 68-66 lead with ten minutes left.
Back-to-back threes from the Warriors gave them the advantage again, a lead they wouldn't relinquish as they went up by as many as 15 points.
Terrance Waits led Anoka-Ramsey with 18 points on 7 of 13 shooting.
Pettigrew added 17 points, making 3 of 7 threes.
Lozier and Terrell Fountain each added 14 points.
The Golden Rams fall to 8-8 overall, 1-2 in the MCAC. Next up is a home tilt vs. Minnesota West on Sunday, January 19 at 3:00pm.
