Anoka-Ramsey Community College Men's Basketball players Justin Castro and Jalen Dunlap were heavily recognized by the MCAC coaches for their performances during the 2018-2019 season.
The duo helped lead the Golden Rams to a 17-12 overall record, finishing 3rd in the MCAC Southern Division, and reaching the NJCAA Region XIII semifinals for the 8th time in 9 seasons.
Justin Castro - All-Southern Division, All-MCAC, All-Region
Castro led the Golden Rams and the entire MCAC Southern Division in scoring at 17.6 points per game while finishing second in the Division in assists with 3.8 per game. Castro, a sophomore from Kissimmee, FL, also added 4.8 rebounds per game to go with 1.8 steals. Castro was also an All-Southern Division selection as a freshman.
Jalen Dunlap - All-Southern Division, All-MCAC, All-Region
Dunlap led the Golden Rams and the entire MCAC Southern Division in steals with 2.5 per game, while coming in 4th in scoring at 15.2 points per game. Dunlap, a sophomore from Houston, TX, pulled in 3.5 rebounds and dished out 2.5 assists per game as well while shooting 38.7 percent from the three-point line.
