Anoka-Ramsey's Head Baseball Coach, Jason Saulsbury, comments "We are so happy for Jake and his decision to go to Mankato next year.  They are a rock solid program in the NSIC and he should be able to walk in and contribute right away.  Jake is a fantastic baseball player and an even better young man.  He has meant so much to our program here at Anoka-Ramsey the past couple of seasons.  As a five-tool player, Jake was an impact player for us both on the mound, in the outfield, and at the plate.  We are going to miss him tremendously, but I couldn't be more excited for his new opportunity.  Mankato is a great next step for Jake, where I hope he will thrive.  They are getting an exceptional player!"

Jake finished his Anoka-Ramsey career with a an overall batting average of .396, .476 OBP, 89 hits, 5 home runs, and 54 RBI's.  On the mound, he finished with an overall ERA of 3.01, 102.1 innings pitched, 124 strikeouts, .232 batting average against, while only surrendering a total of 89 hits and 34 earned runs.  He was a two-time All-Southern Division Team honors winner, a two-time All-State Team honors winner, and a two-time All-Region Team honors winner.

Minnesota State University - Mankato is one of the top NCAA Division II programs in the country.  He joins a Mavericks team that finished second in a very tough Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) during the 2019 season.
