Baseball Wins First, Drops Second to MN West

Game 1

 

The Golden Rams got on the board in the first inning, when Dylan Conrad's sac fly scored one run.  Ben Johnson led the Golden Rams to victory on the mound. He allowed six hits and two runs over six innings.  Jake Hansen threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Zach Jahnz took the loss for Minnesota West. He allowed six hits and six runs over five innings, striking out six.

Anoka-Ramsey hit two home run on the day, both by Jake Hansen, as he went yard in the second and fifth innings.

Hansen also led the Golden Rams with three hits in three at bats. Anoka-Ramsey didn't commit a single error in the field.

 

Game 2

Both teams were strong on the pitcher's mound on Tuesday, but Minnesota West was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a victory over Anoka-Ramsey on Tuesday.  

Drew Jones started the game for Golden Rams and recorded 18 outs.  He ended up taking the loss for Anoka-Ramsey.  He went six innings, allowing two runs on five hits, striking out five and walking zero.

Tucker Sorenson was the winning pitcher for Minnesota West, with a dominating performance.  He allowed four hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out five and walking one.

A few offensive bright spots for the Golden Rams was hits by Brydon Hegarty, Jake Hansen, Ben Johnson, and Dylan Conrad.
