Rochester Defeats Golden Rams in Doubleheader

Game 1

 

In what turned out to be a pitcher's duel most of the way, Anoka-Ramsey drops the first game of the double-header by a score of 4-0.

One bright spot for the Golden Rams was a double by Jared Crawford in the first inning.

Jeremiah Van De Steeg was on his game all day, earned the win for Rochester Community and Technical College. He went seven innings, allowing zero runs on three hits and striking out nine.

Dylan Conrad took the loss for Anoka-Ramsey. He lasted five innings, allowing six hits and four unearned runs while striking out seven and walking one.

Ben Johnson, Crawford, and Cole Benson each collected one hit to lead the Golden Rams.

 

Game 2

Anoka-Ramsey lost the lead late in a 6-1 defeat to Rochester on Saturday.  The game was tied at one with RCTC batting in the bottom of the fifth when they drew a walk, which scored the go ahead run run.

Ethan Hurn earned the win for Rochester Community and Technical College. He allowed three hits and one run over four and a third innings, striking out seven. Ben Strassman threw two and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Lukas Nyberg took the loss for the Golden Rams.  He allowed one hit and three runs.  Drew Jones started the game for Anoka-Ramsey. He lasted three innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out four and walking one.

Jared Kent, Patrick Taylor, Brandon Watkins, and Jared Crawford each collected one hit to lead the Golden Rams.
